The Quebec Produce Marketing Association’s nomination committee inform you that an election of the directors will be held at the Annual General Meeting on Friday August 17, 2018 at 12:45 P.M at Malbaie AB Room, at Manoir Richelieu, at La Malbaie.
ELECTION’S PROCEDURE FOR DIRECTORS
CANDIDATES WANTED FOR FOUR POSITIONS
As stipulated by articles 4.7, 5.2 and 5.3 of the Constitution, each member that wants to propose a candidate, other than those mentioned above, can do so by communicating with the Association at least forty five (45) days before the Annual general meeting, so before Tuesday July 5, 2018.
Candidates nominated for directorship positions on the association’s board must be supported by the signatures of five (5) active members of the QPMA, performing as senior executives, and representing five (5) different companies, having their business place in Quebec. To demonstrate a commitment to the QPMA membership, the five (5) signatures must be handwritten / physical. The candidate must also send his application letter.
This year, four (4) positions are open from different sectors:
- Grower – packer – processor- shipper (1)
- Wholesaler – importer –exporter (1)
- Wholesaler, retail and food distribution (1)
- Fruit store (1)
in keeping with our principle of membership representation by sector of activity.
RENEWED MANDATES
The nomination committee of the Association advises you the list of directors whose mandate’s term expires on August 17, 2018 and renew them for the next 2 years until August 2020.

- these are elected for a two years mandate and
they can be renamed 5 consecutive times.

Once the applications received, the candidates will be contacted for an information session. They will be advised about the election’s procedure, the director’s role and involvement.
