AGM 2017: Elections and presentation of the QPMA economic study

On Friday, August 18, QPMA members attended their association’s Annual General Meeting during lunchtime. This new formula, covering the various presentations while sharing a meal, was a huge hit.

At the AGM, interim CEO Johanne Desrochers presented a report on QPMA achievements during the past year, including the “I Love” campaign, the creation of a new Next-Generation Network, new IT resources, and development of new partnerships.

Elections were also held on this occasion and three candidates came forward to fill the two vacant positions on the board of directors. Luc Prévost (Veg Pro International) and David Turcot (Ferme A & R Turcot) were elected as new directors representing producers on the board. Their fresh, forward-looking vision is sure to help lead the QPMA to a new, even more prosperous future. The third candidate, Jean-Pierre Joseph (Aquafuschia), will be entitled to run for office again next year. In the meantime, we’re thankful to all three for their commitment.
