Review the 2019-2020-2021 RSAC requirements for fresh fruits and vegetables.

On January 15, 2020, the preventive control and preventive control plan requirements of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations will be coming into force for the fresh fruits or vegetables (FFV) sector. In addition, growers and harvesters will need to start complying with the traceability requirements.

To help prepare FFV businesses, the CFIA is holding a series of expert-led question-and-answer sessions based on the SFCR recorded video presentation for the FFV sector. Please register early for the Q&A session of your choice as space is limited. More information: click here

Note: During the Q&A, CFIA’s experts will not be delivering the presentation. It is important that you watch the SFCR recorded video presentation for the FFV sector prior to the Q&A session and have your questions ready ahead of time. The video presentation provides a deeper understanding of the licensing, preventive controls and traceability requirements of the SFCR as they relate to the FFV sector.
