Friday night – a Mexican fiesta and 70s late night show

Friday evening activities, sponsored by Canadawide, took on a Mexican theme this year, featuring the eye-catching, colourful look of the vibrant popular celebration known as the ‘Day of the Dead.’ Some guests really got into the fiesta spirit, donning sombreros and wreaths of flowers. This was a great opportunity to party and network professionally at the same time, enlivened by a group of mariachi musicians who kept the atmosphere cheerful and relaxed all evening. Guests were invited to take part in the games by emcee Rudy Magnan, and to celebrate the QPMA 70th anniversary, some lucky ones were given the chance to take a swing at a monster piñata shaped like the number “70.”

Later on, the evening turned electric with music by the Boogie Wonder Band, performing the greatest hits from the 70s in keeping with the QPMA’s big 7-0. Time to network out on the dance floor!
