During the occasion, hosted by Stéphan Bureau, delegates were treated to a panel discussion featuring distinguished guests Dr. Martin Juneau, cardiologist, Karel Mayrand of the David Suzuki Foundation, and nutritionist and author Julie DesGroseilliers in interviews on the convention theme and what it means in their respective fields. The viewpoints and perspectives they shared were of great interest to all present, especially those thinking about the future of their businesses – and our way of life.
Following the panel discussion and a toast to the good health of the QPMA, the emcee invited participants to rejoin their tables for a delicious brunch-time menu prepared by the executive chef at Loblaws, sponsor of the activity. An all-out triumph in every respect.
Also present at the brunch was local MNA André Fortin, who attended officially on behalf of cabinet minister Lucie Charlebois, who was detained on business in Quebec City. In his remarks, our board president pointed out that André Fortin is young and will have plenty of time to persuade his colleagues about all the benefits associated with our industry.
