General Assembly of the Quebec Apple Growers Association

On January 24th, the General Assembly of Quebec apple growers was held at La Prairie on which more than 70 gowers and partners participated.

Several conferences were on the menu, including those of Judith Barry, co-founder of the Breakfast Club and Francis Parisien, Nielson, on consumer and retail trends at home and around the world.

Apple growers also passed resolutions on the future of income security programs, marketing planning, the impacts of the minimum wage increase, and the implementation of the temporary foreign worker program.

The Quebec Apple Producers presented, in partnership with N.M. Bartlett, the Louis-Hébert meritas to Mario Bourdeau Verger MJ Bourdeau and son senc. The Louis-Hébert meritas is awarded to a producer or a company that has distinguished itself in the advancement of the Quebec apple industry or has allowed its influence here or elsewhere.

The PQPs celebrated the 20 years of involvement and involvement in the QPP and the regional union of Mr. Bourdeau, as well as highlighting his commitment to knowledge transfer and mentoring.
