PRESENTATION OF THE MONTREAL FOOD SYSTEM COUNCIL

On October 16, Marie de Tarlé, QPMA executive assistant and public affairs, attended the official presentation of the mission of the Conseil du système alimentaire montréalais, the first food policy council in Quebec, chaired by Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante, accompanied by Dr. Mylène Drouin, regional director of public health for the City of Montreal, as well as Richard D. Daneau, executive director of Moisson Montreal and spokesperson for the Système Alimentaire Montréalais (SAM) Council.

During this event, the projects implemented within the framework of the SAM action plan were presented. Several players, including Guillaume Cantin of the Transformerie, one of our guests from the ILFV movement, showed their initiatives relating to food loss and waste.
