On September 13 and 14, in the beautiful region of Niagara-on-the-Lake and in an abundant harvest of stone fruits context, was held the CPMA's semi-annual meeting. Sophie Perreault, CEO of the QPMA, was invited to attend meetings of her Canadian counterpart. She has proudly represented Quebec and met several industry partners such as the Dispute Resolution Corporation, the Canadian Horticultural Council and other regional associations.
Several topics were discussed, such as:
- New CFIA requirements and regulations
- The promotion of fruits and vegetables
- The place of women in the industry
- Update on NAFTA Negotiations
- The preparation of the 2019 CPMA Convention & Tradeshow in Montreal
Also attending, some of our governors like George Pitsikoulis (Canadawide) and Stephan Schmekel (VegPro International).
