On September 10, 2018, Ms. Sophie Perreault (CEO of the QPMA) and Julie Desgroseilliers, nutritionist and spokesperson for the I Love Fruits and Veggies Movement, participated to the "Mousse la pomme du Québec" day, transporting them around the world today's Quebec apple growers, to improve their knowledges of Quebec apples, their production and innovations in the sector.
On the menu of this day: visit of a high density orchard and presentation of recent technologies in cultivating and harvesting of apples as well as the “cidrerie du Minot” offered by the owner Alan Demoy, tasting of current and new varieties of apples and cider and dine on site. Finally a tour of one of the largest apple processing plants in Canada, the Leahy Orchards.
